Steps to use the online statistical query tool of the SARB

The following example illustrate how to use the online statistical query tool of the SARB to obtain data for Expenditure on gross domestic product (including residual) (GDP at market prices) at constant 2010 prices for the period 2005 to 2010.

Step 2

The KBP code for Expenditure on gross domestic product (including residual) (GDP at market prices) at constant 2010 prices is 6006Y. In this step you need to type in the numerical part of the KBP code which is 6006 – you leave out the Y for now.

Also note you can also do a keyword search. We will however mainly make use of KBP codes.

Step 3

Select the time series as illustrated below and click on next.

Select the 6006Yseries which is the data series for Expenditure on gross domestic product (including residual) (GDP at market prices) at constant 2010 prices and click enter. Note the Y indicates that it is yearly data in real terms.

Step 5

Choose a data display range and click finish. In this case the display range is for 2005 to 2010.
